Welcome to Potters Receptions blog.

Potters Receptions is based in Warrandyte Victoria. Potters Cottage was built back in the 1960's by a group of potters who wanted to make and sell their creations.  It grew into a restaurant and was bought in 2002 and developed into a Wedding Reception venue.  The original dining room was extended and a Chapel was built.  The building that used to house the potters school was converted into accommodation and the gallery where the pottery was originally sold has been transformed into an area where the bridal party can relax in between the ceremony and reception.

A beautiful waterfall was created at the back of the dining room which forms a stunning backdrop to the bridal table during the day but becomes breathtaking at night when it is lit up.  The dining room has twinkling fairy lights which can be made any color with a matching hand made glass illuminated wall to add a soft colored glow to the room to give it a warm inviting feeling.

The Chapel contains hand carved timber pews and above the alter is a soft draping of cream fabric to highlight the area.  There are timber sliding doors at the rear of the Chapel that open the back up to a beautiful green backdrop of gardens.

The Gallery has a bedroom with bathroom where the Bride can get ready onsite and also offers several different option for photos in inclement weather days.  There is a courtyard with table and chairs, couches with ornate mirrors for that perfect photo shoot style picture.

At the back of the property is bushland and a magnificent gum tree were some stunning photos can be achieved.  There are hand crafted steel railings through out the property with old fashioned lamps along brick paved walkways.  You can be assured of some most beautiful photos of your special day.  Check out or website for some some examples for photos from our recommended photographers.

Our accommodation consists of a Bridal suite and 4 guest rooms.  The Bridal suite has a four poster queen sized bed, a 50" plasma TV,  lounge area and with a floor to ceiling glass wall with internal garden.  There is a deep tub in the bathroom for a luxurious soak after a long day.
